The Cantwell Trenchcoat provides warmth, water protection, and a variety of features making it an optimized coat for dinghy cruising. Cantwell is made from 3 layer shell material providing waterproofing and breathability. The coat is lined with Polartec Powerwool a material that continues to insulate while wet.

Dinghy Cruising is a unique hobby in which people sail from place to place and camp along the way. This hobby provides a unique design criteria where weather conditions, and packability are important while aligning with the aesthetic and performance needs of the sailors involved. The aim of the Cantwell Trenchcoat is to provide the protection and features to be ideal for dinghy cruising while aligning with the more traditional aesthetics that the hobby aligns with.

Hidden but accessible rain hood. Using Polartec Neoshell a material that is waterproof while providing stretch and packabliity allowing it to be stashed in the collar without discomfort. The vibrant pop of red is a visual cue of worsened weather, transforming the more traditional form of the trench with the hood tucked away.

Chronological display of every physical test and prototype of the Cantwell Trenchcoat. Prototyping tests included hood, rain covers, garment shape, fit on body, pockets and patterns.
