Crux Ski Collection- Outerwear
The Crux Ski Collection is built for winter and skiers. Designed and sewn by hand, the collection highlights technical precision and alpine style.
Bold black-and-white color paneling creates a distinguished silhouette. A looser fit to the pants combined with the structured ergonomics of the shell allows for movement while in alpine conditions. The white paneling adds visual interest and an extra layer of durability and support in areas where skiers reported high wear.
Designed for winter conditions, the Crux outerwear is made from breathable shell material, reinforced with nylon paneling, and lined and insulated with softshell grid fleece. To create the highest quality performance in winter conditions, all seams are water sealed, and the collection features YKK Aquaseal zippers. The hood, jacket waistband, and pant legs have built-in tightening cinches.

Patterning and Process
The Crux Ski Collection was patterned digitally in CLO 3D, allowing for complex paneling and pattern pieces. Using software gave precision over fit, panel geometry, and seam allowance before physical patterning and sewing. After the pattern was made virtually, it was printed and sampled to ensure fit and sizing. After a few physical adjustments, the collection was sewn by hand with final materials and technologies. Using a hybrid process of virtual patterning and physical sewing allowed for a precise and technical garment with a handcrafted touch.
